caught in a whirlwind week

Thank goodness for Gonzaga's Rudolf Fitness Center or else I would not survive this week. Papers, tests, campaign plans, and getting ready for a spring break trip are all happening in the next 72 hours. oy vey. After last nights Oscars filled with glitz and glamour my night approaching me at the library with a cup of coffee and a lara bar seems pretty dismal and sad. I guess that I will have to chug on through and hopefully the light at the end of the tunnel with have some pizaz...maybe... lets hope!

Two cheers for Natalie Portman for winning Best Actress, all of the nominees were well deserving of the award but Natalies grace, charisma, charm, and big Buddha belly took up the statue.

shut it down ladies

wow wow wow or in the words of stylist rachel zoe, "I DIE!"

here comes the oscars

bring on dolce, versace, monique, loubs, and choos galore. it is the morning of one of the biggest days in film and dramatic productions..... The Academy Awards!

This is one of my favorite days of the year, I die for the fashion, the Red Carpet, but also the ceremony. I can't wait to see Anne Hathaway and James Franco host the hopefully less than three hour awards show. It's time to critique the dresses, jewelry, hair, arm candy, and get your popcorn ready for a night of Hollywood Glamour.

proud to be a cheddar head!

It's the Sunday around the country that die hard football fans, bandwagon fans, and people at the parties just for the pigs in a blanket gather to watch the biggest game of the year. THE SUPER BOWL.

YES YES YES THE GREEN BAY PACKERS WON THE 2011 SUPER BOWL! This is fantastic news. Growing up around brothers who played football as well as watching football every Saturday and Sunday I love football and especially the Packers.
My Dad's side of the family are all from Wisconsin and have Green Bay running through our veins. It scared me in the second quarter when we had three guys down within a few minutes but we rallied and won!

The Super Bowl which aired on the FOX network for the last time until 2014, had 169.4 million viewers. This broke records of all previous Super Bowls in the past that averaged only 111 viewers. Next year the Super Bowl will be broadcasted on NBC Sports which will hopefully bring in big $ for the network if they can keep their viewership high as FOX has done.

The thing that stuck in my head as the overall loser even over the Pittsburgh Steelers was The Black Eyed Peas and their half-time performance. First off the sound system was absolutely terrible. You would think that at the biggest performance of the year whoever is in charge of the audio would have checked every second. That man or woman is for sure out of a job today. And also The Black Eyed Peas just seemed so so the only exciting part of the whole performance was when Usher did the splits!

After that terrible performance it was at least great to see the Packers Win. I wish I was able to wear one of the numerous cheddar heads we have at my house. oh well there is always next year!

Once a cheddar head always a cheddar head.
